Being a huge fan of Silver Lake/Los Angeles I had to place a crime series in the cities of angeles. Choosing Hollywood police department for my female heroine, detective Sam Star, was not a difficult decision. And by letting her life in Silver Lake I also had the chance to write about my favorite place in California.
